    As I’ve gotten more into my games studies, I’ve started noticing a trend with game designers choosing to trim or forego tutorials, in order to “respect player intelligence.” I’ve fallen into this mentality too, but I want to talk about how it’s a problematic approach.

    Checking for ripeness works for babies that wear diapers right? I tried to get a video showing me rewiring one of the pears. My arm is in the way of all the action but you can listen to me mutter at myself and apologize a lot to the pear.

    Ok I figured out a workable solution. I’ve re-run the wires to be close to the skin on the front side of the pears, which is still too low of conductivity for kissing, but it closes the circuit when you squeeze them like you’re checking if they’re ripe.

    Here is the pear’s pepper au pair. She’s beautiful. Bummer news though—even though I ran tests yesterday to verify the conductivity of the fruits, they aren’t conductive enough to close the circuit with just the pepper kissing the pears. Gonna have to find another solution. 😓
