Not a bad idea, although blocking people at work could be a bit of a career stopper, be much better if they just had a bit reading all messages and just pinged all messages which could be considered bullying harassment etc straight to the HR manager

i think you may be missing the point. this would be used when someone has faced persistent harassment, even when HR's notified. and this is under the assumption that once HR's notified, it would stop. sometimes it doesnt. also, email and SMS already have blocking, why not slack?

This is something that HR has to know!, take this to the workplace, This is not IRC, Telegram or another just Chat app, this is for workspaces, nonetheless this is a nice idea, the people that handle employees needs to know this is happening.

As a slack admin of both social and professional slacks. I think having blocking and reporting tools built in that I could use for admins/hr would be amazing Wishlist 1) built in rules/CoC messaging 2) admin view w/history of admin notes 3) mute/block support 4) suspension tools

I literally had a public argument on twitter a few years ago with a Slack person about this. They insisted that it's an HR issue at the workplace and not their business. It was easy to tell they'd never been harassed or had to rely on HR for anything.

my dude, maybe read the petition and see why i'm asking for it. also this is assuming that someone works with a competent boss or HR department (also HR is a risk mitigation function for companies, doesn't represent people)
