“Gamba” After the mother of Galileo Galilei's children, Marina Gamba. Their relationship started in Venice and he left her behind in Padua when he moved to Florence. A fitting tribute for her and an obvious connection to Jupiter. #NameJupitersMoons @JupiterLunacy

We love this idea, but "Jupiter Moons must be named after characters from Roman or Greek mythology who were either descendants or lovers of the god known as Jupiter (Roman) or Zeus (Greeks)."

#NameJupitersMoons. @JupiterLunacy. I would love for a new moon to be named Diana. She is a descendant of Jupiter and Latona and her twin brother was Apollo. She is a Roman goddess of the hunt, wild animals, the Moon, nature, children, childbirth, fertility and chastity.

I propose Idaea for one of the two prograde moons. Idaea is a Naiad who, with Zeus, mothered Cres. Given the proximity of these moons to Europa - the best candidate for liquid water in the Solar System - including a Naiad to oversee water is fitting. #NameJupitersMoons

I'm proposing the name Eileithyia, who was Zeus' daughter (appropriate for a moon) and was the goddess of childbirth (a newly discovered moon could be a metaphor for a new child). This would be for either S/2017 J4 or S/2018 J1. #NameJupitersMoons

One of the two prograde moons should definitely be Pandia, daughter of Zeus and Selene! It's not being used for anything else that I know of and it would be perfect for a moon of Jupiter!

And it fits the naming conventions (related to Zeus/Jupiter, progrades end in an A, not being used, one word)
