My review of The Muppets Mayhem, starring the legendary , is now live at . The show's pretty good! Though it does run into some of the challenges all of the recent Muppets productions seem to face. #MuppetsMayhem #TheMuppetsMayhem

The discussion surrounding the meandering plot of a fan-favorite series just reminds me of how much I dislike reviewing a show when only a handful of episodes are sent out in advance. If the back half of that season is a letdown, well…

Why, why, why are publications still doing this in 2023? Sure, these authors put their work on the public internet, but they did so in a specific context—to be read by other fans intentionally seeking their work, not to be patronizingly highlighted by New York Magazine. 🫠

History repeats itself. In 2007, UK and Canadian writers JUMPED at the opportunity to cross the picket line on a US show. I hope actors will join the picket line and refuse to film like Steve Carell did when The Office tried to continue production. cbc.ca/arts/commotion

there are no stupid questions here. at this time we're not asking people to boycott any platforms. boycotts (like strikes) take a lot of work to organize. right now our focus is on an effective strike that stops ALL WRITING & shows the studios they cannot function without us

This might sound stupid but as consumers do we still watch things on streaming platforms or tv? Or would that just be supporting the studios

As soon as I remembered #TedLasso's rom-communist leanings, I wondered if that Jane Austen book Jack gifted to Keeley was setting up an interesting foreshadowing for Season 3 — and @WinchMD took my English lit nerdout and ran with it: collider.com/ted-lasso-seas

I don't think folks understand that TV writing is far from over when the script is turned in. There's on-the-set rewrites, ADR, etc. Just because your favorite show has their scripts written doesn't mean they're done, by any means.

I see people posting that we should not watch TV or streaming due to the strike. Can someone in the know clarify for me — is that something the striking writers are asking for?
