I am so sad for the way the death of Twitter is going to very much *harm* disabled people in disproportionate ways. Itโs really hard to communicate just how damaging this is for us - especially during an ongoing pandemic.

The CDC has done a really spectacular job during the pandemic!
Since day 1, they've established that the public health system exists to prioritize corporations & rich people & that any failures & restrictions on freedom can be blamed on people with underlying conditions.

Please know your disabled/high risk friends are not ok.
You canโt collectively banish us from society and bombard us daily with messages that our lives donโt matter/society doesnโt need us/everyoneโs better off without us wrecking their normal, & expect that to have no effect.

One of the things I hate most about forced poverty, especially during COVID, is how the only way one can qualify for many financial assistance programs for rent, mortgage or utilities is by missing payments & ruining your credit.

That's good and they should do that. But I have yet to see today a company commit to not donating to anti-choice politicians.

. I'm at one of your stores & the pharmacy initially turned me away for my 2nd COVID booster (5th dose) as an immunocompromised person. They even questioned how I got 4 doses.
#HighRiskCovid19 folks like myself should never have to fight for the tiniest of protections.
