    Modern Ireland needs a modern maternity service. We need to: ✅Tackle maternity staff shortages. ✅Guarantee new public maternity hospitals wont have separate facilities for private patients. ✅Provide a timeframe for relocation of new maternity hospitals.

    The Irish leaders’ debate is really quite shocking. The three leaders have a detailed grasp of complex welfare and tax issues, they are polite and courteous, they admit mistakes, they say sorry. They might even be largely honest. Why is all that possible in Ireland but not here?

    Great to attend earlier. Consensus at meeting that we need a dedicated transport police for Luas.

    Great D12 policing forum meeting tonight. Issue brought up incl anti social behaviour, drugs, racism, youth gangs & scramblers. Super intendent promises 2nd dedicated Garda for Drimnagh, plus extra patrols in the area, including on the Luas. Stresses need not to criminalise kids.

    My parents were so proud when I got a degree. Every student deserves that chance. We will fully restore guidance counsellors to help students to stay in school. We’ll increase funding for college grants & supports for struggling students.
