Not sure what the issue is here. Pre-collapse data is for USSR and it would be impossible to disaggregate into Russia, Ukraine etc. Hence only option was to combine fmr Soviet states through present.

is production abroad integrated? This could make a huge difference, if not. Esp. in the case of China.

It seems like complicated data. For example, Canada produces a lot of oil via the Tar Sands. But doesn't process any of it, instead shipping it to USA or Asia. We then buy back either the refined oil, or products made from that. I'm not sure how or if all this is integrated.

China has 1404 million people. The UK has 66 million. Total emissions for China 213 trillion tons CO2 v UK 76 trillion in 2018. So, UK per capita emissions are (1404/66) x (76/213) = 7.6 times higher than Chinese per capita emissions.

This is cumulative, so you would have to count everyone who has lived in the UK since 1880. There's a lively discussion about this in the thread for this. Perhaps this is as much a question of culpability as statistics.

Interesting to see what is happening on the lower end! Highly energy efficient countries, I assume!

Mostly low population countries I believe. Plus low tech countries with high rural populations, may get a higher portion of their power from renewables, because it's easier to build a wind turbine in a village than run cables hundreds of miles from cities where powerplants are.
