Clear backpacks don't make anyone safer. They're security theater. Also there's more to being safe than being safe at school.

I have a feeling that someone that plans on shooting up a school with clear backpacks simply isn't going to wait until they get inside. People aren't in class all day. We keep trying to use logic to stop these shootings when clearly the shooters aren't thinking logically.

So turn schools into what amounts to prisons? How about dealing with the actual issues? Because students don't want what you propose, it doesn't actually help. It just makes school oppressive, the one thing it should never be.

Perhaps every student should start carrying things like enormous orange dildos, sanitary products and condoms in the backpacks because it seems like Americans are more afraid of sex and women’s health than anything else. You’d get regular backpacks back in no time.

clear backpacks will not work. same goes with gun control. if u can think logically, gun control only affects law abiding citizens. i dont think nicholas cruz was a law abiding citizen since he murdered people which is illegal.

The US is not a gun-free zone. The US is barely even a gun-controlled zone. So-called gun-free zones lack the authority to ensure that they remain 100% gun-free because they're inside the US. Not to mention that there's way more to gun violence than just mass shootings.

gun free zones = schools, ect. not talking about us in general.

I live in Canada. Pretty much everywhere I go is a gun free zone by default, with no need for metal detectors and high vigilance to enforce it. And when people aren't carrying around guns, people don't get shot.
