    Optional chaining is now part of the JavaScript spec! Instead of checking for the existence of each key in an embedded object and then accessing it, we will get an undefined value and the code won't error out.

    If the capability is there why wouldn't a society want better tools for preventing crime, the tricky and interesting part is making them non-invasive and always harm reducing. The next step is using these tools to increase psychological comfort and productivity of populations.
