I wonder if there's a hardware memory limit to the length of a playlist or folder that it can display as well?
The protocol shim sounds like a really good approach -- might be easier to get a laptop involved and use the CDJs as controllers?
That'd be the easy option, but from my (limited) experience the workflow was quite different (at least Traktor+CDJ vs "pure" CDJ)
I thought it was limited to FAT32 (which appears to be limited to 32GB) but it also supports HFS+, where the limit is… quite high… :')
