    This op-ed kinda ruined my morning. Using National Parks to prop up settler colonialist ideology does not help the parks: it builds resentment of them and erodes their survival in the long run.

    I write weirdly. Creative nonfiction is the worst field in which to toil, because, as a pioneering CNF author explained to me over drinks recently, not many people see light at our spectral wavelength. To write CNF is thus to be sometimes unseen—and that's OK!
