Little known fact: The exclamation point on a creature is commonly referred to as a quest bang. Which means, if you want to make someone or something (person, mail box, letter on the ground) into a quest giver. They must first be "bangable." /low curtsy

One of the problems with modern wow. Everything is handed out so easy its hard to feel truly rewarded.

Sorry you feel that way, I always try to make the players feel like they earned it. Perhaps what you dislike is the choose-your-own-difficulty reward system? You know, normal versus heroic versus mythic.

TBF if the game didn’t have catch up mechanics it would have been in trouble , catch up isn’t only for returning players, l see it used more by people that for whatever reason need to switch toons and need to be up where their main is, ASAP
