This week, N. Texas Muslims began receiving threatening anonymous letters ordering families to “leave the country” or else be shot “mercilessly” at their workplaces, neighborhoods, and playgrounds, while also demagoguing N. Texas’ Indian-American and Chinese-American communities.
These threats are disturbing. I encourage anyone with more info to contact local law enforcement. Hate should have no home here, but it has once again reared its head, guided by politicians who would rather pour gasoline on the divisions in our country than bring us together.
I’m proud to call N. Texas home because of our strong and vibrant communities, not in spite of them. We all must stand together and call out this cowardly act for what it is: a racist act intended to stoke fear, hatred and division.
While some people have made their political careers on dividing us, now is the time for us to come together and speak with one voice to condemn these disgusting acts.

Texans know this isn't new but something has given those with evil in thier hearts confidence to voice thier hate. It's the rhetoric that's been spewed by the president and GOP Texas "leaders" don't admonish it.
