But back then and even now, people have tried to suppress women from wielding their power at the ballot box. Women constitute only 24% of Congress. That lack of representation manifests in our laws. (2/3)

To achieve true equality, we need more women in office who will fight to secure robust paid family and medical leave, repel the ongoing assault on the right to choose, and demand an end to voter suppression efforts that particularly target women of color. (3/3)
