Today, SCOTUS ruled that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects LGBTQ+ employees from being disciplined or fired based on their identity. LGBTQ+ rights are human rights, and I will not tolerate the repeated Republican attacks on equality in America.https://politi.co/37BqSiq
In Congress, I will fight to protect LGBTQ+ folx. The Trump administration’s recent decision to remove protections for transgender Americans in health care is unacceptable. We must also be sure to protect LGBTQ+ POC who are more vulnerable to police and domestic violence.
