Last month, many parents and students from high schools in our district asked for help in celebrating their graduating seniors, many of whom, in the wake of the pandemic, weren't able to get the fanfare they deserved. (1/x)

At the time, Mayra, from Early College High School in CFBISD was working on her high school diploma and her Associate of Science degree at Brookhaven College. Due to the pandemic, the prom she worked tirelessly on planning for was cancelled, as well as her graduations. (2/x)

Our campaign was able to give Mayra a small token of congratulations. Mayra, like so many people her age, is facing something extremely unprecedented.
