Like many, I have been watching the events of the last couple of weeks unfold and trying to figure out how I can be as helpful as possible. However, I live in a multi-generational, immuno-compromised household and can't be on the frontlines protesting as much as I'd like.
I want to take a moment to thank those who are braving the heat and fear to protest for our lives. It is not lost on me that even as we are in the midst of a pandemic, we are having to put our lives on the line to bring tangible change to our city and country.
Join us as we write letters, emails and make calls to our local representatives and urge them to institute elected independent police oversight boards. There is not a single fight we cannot win when we work together.
