It is no secret that education is extremely important to Candace. Determined to fight for access to education, Candace ran for office for the first time in 2017. She was elected to the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD board, defeating an 18-year incumbent.
As a school board member, she worked to expand STEM education, vocational training, and coding academies in district schools. She also pushed for funding for school renovations and focused on making sure the district is inclusive.
Candace did amazing work as an elected official for our schools, and will continue to do the same as your Congresswoman.
