Help your parents or guardians as much as possible. If you write an entire essay about how much your parents sacrificed and you did nothing to help (and you're age 12+) you're not going to impress folks. I've read essays that left me wanting to admit Dad instead.

As digital natives, take advantage of video (FaceTime, Zoom, etc.) and start a club. It can be a book club, a math club, a music club, or nearly any club you'd have in school. Try to plan out your engagement on a weekly basis. More collaboration = better. (5/7)
