People having abortions are already pregnant. They chose to go "into pregnancy". Killing a child does not stop someone being a mother. It just makes her the mother of a dead child.

A pregnant woman is not a mother. She can CHOOSE to become a mother. She can also CHOOSE to not be a pregnant woman anymore - Which would mitigate the risk to her own health.
