These guys are being phased out slowly by laptops, tablets, and cell phones. The apps available nowadays are pretty spectacular and do many of the same functions. In my district, we're moving toward 1-1 tablets/laptops supplied by us.

This is fantastic. I was wondering how you'd get around the "teacher won't allow you to use your phone on exams" thing. School-supplied, non-connected tablets are a great solution!

Schools are treating tech as a necessity instead of a luxury item. We have digital natives in charge of the classroom room now. Tablets and laptops don't just convey the lessons; they are the lessons. Collaboration and adaptation on these are the keys to the future.
