Furthermore, this blanket pay raise glosses over the real work that the lege needs to do to adequately fund public schools: 1) Do a school fund study that is less than 3 decades old. 2) Close corporate tax loopholes that yield no ROI for average Texans. #TxEd #txlege

#1 is unlikely because anti-public school politicians don't want Texans to know the extent of their neglect. #2 is unlikely because it means politicians have to take handouts back from friends and donors.
