one of my classes tomorrow is cancelled so that students have time to go vote. and even then, I still have friends who aren't able to vote because they can't skip class to drive home to vote. and that? is voter suppression.

"but they should have voted early or by absentee" buddy there are some states (michigan apparently) where you aren't allowed to vote absentee in your first election. also bureaucracy is a mess sometimes and people don't receive their ballots or receive them too late

anyways, requiring students to stay in class instead of voting is the same as requiring underpaid workers to stay at work instead of voting. being able to take off and head to the polls is a privilege that keeps students and workers who can't take off under-represented
