All over the world, capitalism via fascism succeeds because greed has a laser focus on its goal, unwavering over time. The rest of us struggle to survive & only pay attention to politics when life becomes intolerable. Churches, unions, & academia could fight but are co-opted.

Working & middle-class people need some kind of organization that is relatively impervious to being subverted & intimidated by the very wealthy. So far, the two that have come closest are Wikileaks & Anonymous, but those would be tough to sustain.
