A child took her own life in Montero last week. To speak of it was written off as the 'politicization' of a tragedy. The Bolivian state actually took measures to 'encapsulate' and militarize Montero on April 9, supposedly to reduce coronavirus spread.https://twitter.com/camilateleSUR/status/1253382578545065992 …

Camila @camilateleSURBolivia's dictatorship is responsible for another death. A 12-year-old in Montero, Santa Cruz committed suicide after weeks without food because she could no longer take the stomach pain. She was found hanging by her 17-year-old brother. Family is without income under quarantine. https://twitter.com/evoespueblo/status/1253364235343708163 …Show this thread2 replies 25 retweets 48 likesShow this thread
This regime took power by force on November 12. There was no trace of democracy in that process. They are now the defacto authorities and so long as Bolivia is not under war/sanctions, they cannot scapegoat their way out of responsibility for the deaths and acts of desperation.
