Given that Canada's Covid-19 death total (20) is thus far one of the smallest anywhere, wouldn't it be a nice break from all the media pessimism just to see one headline saying that?

Actually a lot of countries have a lower number of deaths right now. Venezuela has nearly the same population of Canada, and with 77 cases, has not had one COVID-19 death. It also quarantined much sooner than anyone in the Western hemisphere.

We keep hearing about the magic 27/28c temps needed to kill/suppress the virus. Venezuela's 3 largest cities---Caracas, Maracaibo, Valencia (total pop. 12-13 million) are at or well above that temp. Wonder if that's a factor.

That they are, but Guayaquil, Ecuador accounts for the vast majority of cases in Ecuador (607 of 789) and is about that same temperature.
