      (1) Bolivia's police repressed the overwhelmingly Indigenous and MAS-supporting residents of El Alto today in Senkata. Children of the 25 de Julio primary school were gassed as consequence. @teleSURenglish Cops gassed the entire neighborhood until even they had to flee.pic.twitter.com/8VtoJcrLcI

      (2) The Senate organized a 9am extraordinary session in El Alto, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the city. Congress' program included 8am a mass to be held at the San Fransisco Chapel, where bodies of the dead of the Nov 19th Senkata massacre were brought and mourned.pic.twitter.com/5oHK491z6i

      (3) The priest who led the mass was coup-backing Scarpellini, who some say attended the UCB meeting where coup leaders met to anoint Añez as self-declared President. The legislature came to exploit the mourning of the Senkata massacre relatives. Police militarized the area.pic.twitter.com/cNa3IdM6p4

          (4) El Alto residents were already indignant and were further enraged when far-right coup co-conspirator Oscar Ortiz (Senator, Santa Cruz) arrived. At this point the neighbors were demonstrating for a slew of reasons, carrying posters and photos of massacred loved ones.pic.twitter.com/EiCNBTA5xL

          (5) Police arrived and began shooting off tear gas. The video at the end is residents running to Senkata's 25 de Julio primary school when they learned that the children had fallen victim. Bolivian media will only be airing images of a few people throwing rocks at police.pic.twitter.com/E6jhXgJCoV

Hasta cuando! I salute you “Alteños”. Su fuerza es increíble y debería ser contagiosa. Se siente la frustración por el atropello que continúan viviendo. No están solos. Esto tiene que cambiar!!

Eva Copa organised the event, including inviting the police to the march beforehand. Thank god she's not a candidate in May.
