Another simultaneous count, known as the TREP (Transmisión Rápida y Segura de Actas Resultados Preliminares de Actas en Recinto) reached 95.63% of votes, giving Morales a 10.11% lead over Mesa. With 4.37% outstanding, the remaining vote could go either way; is too close to call.

Evo Morales would require a 10-point lead in the final official count, over his nearest opponent Carlos Mesa to triumph in the first round. It's unclear when the count will be 100% complete. Bolivian state media has not made any declarations, nor has the TSE, or the MAS.
