1:20pm Ecuador's police gas hundreds in one go, near the National Assembly. Thousands more Indigenous people are gathered in El Ejido and El Arbolito parks. @teleSURenglishpic.twitter.com/Y2hk8APOuF

These people are cheered on as they run towards the confrontation and police tear gassing.

2pm: Stampede. Minor damage can be seen to the Contraloria building, caused by young people last night. Police fear more or the same for Ecuador's National Assembly, just up this steep hill.

Chinese Autocrat Xi could end this in a moment, by just agreeing to China wide democratic reform, as honesty, decency and international social expectations demands, instead of entrenching the bureaucratic elite's narrow vested economic and social status, interest.

Who is leading the protests? I am not familiar with the socio-political landscape in that area but know change must come to Latin America. My organization is trying to get involved in support of Grassroots movements in Latin America

My question isn’t who is leading the protests, my question is who are the forces behind them pulling the strings. Venezuela has reasons to topple someone like Lenin Moreno & see him replaced with someone more sympathetic to the regime in Caracas.
