I understand your stance, & the records show unambiguously that you are right. My point is, that one should not confound Duque & the likes with the Colombian Nation, which would serve Trump regime's goals. Rather underline the Brotherhood, call to the sense of being both Latinos.
The migrant in the video says nothing about the Colombian people, he is specifically naming the government and security forces.

People, ordinary citizens, tend to identify with the government of their country, when they think/believe it's being attacked from outside, by foreigners/foreign entities. In the current stand of affairs, the less animosity between the two countries, at all levels, the better.
