There is no need to inconvenience a conspiracy theory. Of course one has to compare pre-Chesa w/post-Chesa, YTD 2021 vs 2019: Homicides +15.4% Burglary +21.9% Car Theft +33.5% Arson +56.3% http://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d … Shootings are up 105.2% YTD 2021 vs 2020.

You forgot to mention that rape, robbery, assault and overall crime are down from 2019. Pre-Covid stats and post-Covid stats aren’t really comparable anyway.

I did not. If you look at the numbers, you will see that every crime that needs people to be outside -rape, robbery, assault- was down during Covid. Not Chesa’s accomplishment. And of course they’re not really comparable if it does not align with Progressive scripture.

Except those crimes were up in many other cities in the local area. Our crime is reduced compared with our peers who are experiencing a nation wide crime wave. Reductions is Rape, Robbery, and Assault cannot be attributed to covid when other cities have experienced the opposite

I am not a Progressive, I am an evidence based realist. As far I can tell, the recall Boudin campaign is entirely based on the feelings of people who spend too much time on Nextdoor and feel afraid.

People can read numbers. People can read the news. The worst part is the 700 OD dead last year, which happened because
@chesaboudin can’t jail drug dealers for fear of traumatizing them. Also, watch how the mayor, the supes, and Progressives do absolutely nothing about it.3 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

Continuing - Elected DA Boudin has asked for task force on fentanyl that would devote more prosecutors to fentanyl drug crime at its root. Public Defender opposes more prosecution understandably wanting all $ to go to treatment.https://www.davisvanguard.org/2021/03/sfda-chesa-boudin-seeks-2-3-million-fentanyl-task-force-sfpd-mano-raju-firmly-opposed-to-proposal/ …

It'll take months and years to hunt the big fish down. In the meantime, addicts die by the score in our city, and we just stand by and feel good about ourselves b/c we give drug dealers carte blanche since they supposedly had a difficult childhood. How does that make sense?

No cart blanche for drug dealers, just a smart understanding of the situation. Difficult childhood comment is unnecessary and callous. However long it takes to stop drug crime someone has to start, that someone is focused persistent unflappable DA Boudin-elected.

What is callous is Progressives such as you having more sympathy for pushers than for their victims. Re Boudin. I don’t even condemn him personally. And I do believe he is a very troubled person given his background, and that it informs his policies, which hurt our city.

I’m concerned that locked-up drug dealers are endlessly replaced by trafficked drug dealers. When it becomes clear that treatment and prosecuting root cause ends street addiction, it’s callous/arrogant to focus only on trafficked drug dealers. Lives are at stake. #StandWithChesa

Who is a “victim” of a drug dealer? Maybe the person who lives with the nuisance in their neighborhood. Not the addict.
