Exactly. Freeing all the criminals and not prosecuting new crimes. Letting the malevolent prey upon the innocent without repercussion until civil society collapses allowing us to replace it with a totalitarian communist dictatorship. Make America Venezuela Instead!

Due process preserves democracy. DA is doing his job. KQED interview: DA Boudin never worked for Venezuelan government. Boudin article assessing Chavez term: he appreciates Chavez decreased poverty but criticizes Chavez concentration of power.

I know a bunch of people from Venezuela and Columbia, where refugees fled. Chavez destroyed the country. There are no stray dogs or cats in Caracas because the poor had to eat them to survive. People have no food. Most industry has collapsed. It's a tragedy.

I’m not an expert on Venezuela, defer to you. I do know that the long Chavez term ended in 2013, that Boudin is critical of Chavez, and that Boudin never worked for Venezuelan government. Venezuela does not belong in this conversation.

I can agree with that. It's not relevant here. Talk to some people from Venezuela or Cuba before heralding them as a success story.

I did not bring up Venezuela. The person attacking Chesa Boudin brought it up in the post to derail and deflect, see above. I’m glad you and I agree it is not relevant.

“Their pithy responses demonstrate considerable sympathy for Chavez and his efforts, and are ultimately dedicated to revealing Chavez as a legitimately elected patriot bent on social justice through harnessed oil wealth.” ^ look how critical of Chavez I am!!! :Dpic.twitter.com/gvDxmvxH29

I learned a lot about running a totalitarian communist regime while I was working for Hugo Chavez! No wonder

Bring up Venezuela to avoid addressing your comfort with racial profiling, mass incarceration, police brutality. Boudin worked in the palace paid by a US publisher to translate another’s interview of Chavez.
