America's war in Afghanistan is still raging, more than 16-years after 9/11. While yet another US president commits yet more blood and treasure, maybe we've been looking at the problem all wrong, all along. @SteveCollNY explains.http://snpy.tv/2EsWEle

Mr. Coll is brilliance incarnate. His book, " Ghost Wars.." helped me put into perspective a lot. Reading it was a humbling experience for me. More power to his pen!

The problem with the US is that they are chasing the wrong enemy. At least US should know that the defeated Taliban were organized, equipped and supported by Pakistani Army to kill US soldiers. Pakistan will never stop proxy war in Afghanistan.

Dont forget the huge problems of the so-called NUG( national unity government) of Mr. Ghani and Mr. Abdullah. They have marginalized their big political allies, specially the powerful governor of Balch Provence and Vice President Mr. Dostum, now in Ankara.

Ecclesiastes 8:9 and Jeremiah 10:23. What does history tell you? Has man ever dominated himself to the good? Only God’s Kingdom can bring peace to the Earth. That means wicked governments must be destroyed. Daniel 2:44

The war is always the most convenient solution because he avoids the diplomacy. Finding a different mercantile establishment to the war shows a government feeble because the majority of the people preferred practice and speedy #amanpourpic.twitter.com/49UJZrdTuE

It is difficult to believe that anyone is safer because we invaded Afghanistan or Iraq. When all is said and done, there may have been better options in responding to 9/11 than taking up arms.

Afghans are the nation that can never be controlled by the outsiders. If they have no one from outside to fight they fight amongst themselves to keep busy, it's their entertainment. The sooner the world learns that the better it is for them. Afghans are good either way.

'Batter Taliban enough', the so called tech war machine has achieved none of that in Afghanistan despite spending trillions of dollars. US is there for the geological treasure e.g. rare earth metals etc that are vitally important in 4th gen tech devices.
