And no religion is justified in treating women as second-class citizens.

Was the way you had to dress for the Iranian regime equally as outrageous?pic.twitter.com/xVTWzotzsA

I don't think Iran is marketing itself as "the only democracy in the Middle East"

Even in an orthodox synagogue in the US women and men are separated. The western wall is officially designated as an orthodox synagogue (i'm against it btw) so there you have it.
-
Those were journalists and not worshippers. They we're standing in designated journalists areas.

Let me know when you cover an imam's antisemitic speech in a mosque from the men's section.
-
So this is the schoolyard ethic well, “Billy did it so I will”. Pathetic

No, I am not saying the incident couldn't have been done better. I wrote about it. The point is the double standards of those who scream about something happening in Israel when they are complicit with worse happening elsewhere.

@VP will certainly do nothing about this. He likely condones this as he doesn’t even like the temptation of being alone with women. He is just another leader with an inability to stand up for what is right.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

And Amanpour should be reporting on how women are abused in predominant Arab countries. Saudi Arabia. Iran.
-
What does that have to do with the veep’s support for treating women as inferior?
-
There are 2 issues. 1. Some reporters love to point ANY imperfection within Israeli society without context. 2. Pence as a guest of a country is hardly in a position to raise an internal issue. Did we ever chide Obama for not addressing human rights when in China? No

“America First” should mean standing up for American values, not putting women last.

I think you'll find it was a religious reason. Orthodox Jewish requirement a bit similar to being forced to wear a scarf in many Muslim countries.
-
If it was truly religious, NO journalists would have been allowed in the sacred space. Not good enough.
-
Jews and Christians (male or female) are not allowed at the mosque 30 meters from the western wall. But you will not heat about that... Nor you will care.

@Christiane Jordana here, x-producer for AC360. I was there and you would have been horrified if you were too. It’s one thing to respect the religious customs, but they wanted to separate us, we should have had EQUAL access to the story - move the men over and out of our view.Thanks.
