@sandymaxey Approach @newtgingrich with an open mind @mashable

@calestous Yet, you do not feel that the article's merit is also weighed by historical precedent of the author? -
@sandymaxey I don't prejudge. It is too heavy a burden to be carrying around. -
@calestous And I won't be sucked into the media rhetorical contortions. I've read his older work. I remember his role in policymaking. -
@sandymaxey I want to read his future articles and make up my own mind independent of what I think of his past politics. -
@calestous Yet, without some transparent acknowledgement of how his thinking has developed over time, I am skeptical of HIS integrity. -
@sandymaxey You should apply that standard to all writers. -
@calestous I try my best to do this. But Gingrich is not just a "writer"- to apply that rigid nomenclature would be discredit his life. -
@sandymaxey You seem to have issues with the person before he has even written. Why not confront him then. - 3 more replies

@calestous Like each article is written in a vacuum? Especially when the author fails to mention the relative disconnect in their thinking? -
@sandymaxey I know his politics. I will it into account. But I want to read what he has to say. -
@calestous Again, I know he is brilliant, but I am a tad skeptical, given the lack of intellectual continuity/abject political manipulation.
