There's nothing wrong with you if you can't stand pair programming as a day-in-day-out approach to software development. I love the occasional pairing, but I'd rather quit programming than do it all day, every day.
I paired almost every day at my last job and it was exhausting, now I almost never do and I miss it, so yeah, moderation.

It's a lot of pressure, but it can be so rewarding when you're in sync as a pair!

Yes! Absolutely. It’s different, and more than likely slower, when it’s forced, but when it’s really working for you it can be far more productive and efficient (not to mention fun).

Yeah, I was lucky that the job that had us pairing all the time was my first as an engineer, it was immensely helpful. I’m making a conscious effort to pair with our interns where I am now.
