During the campaign, GOP candidate Joe O’Dea criticized Bennet for not holding up nominees/withholding his vote to get Biden to keep Space Command in Colorado. Bennet said during the campaign it shouldn’t be made political.

They voted against a Biden DOD nominee earlier this week (and threatened holds) after not getting a meeting for two years.

CO Sens Michael Bennet & John Hickenlooper both voted no on a Biden nominee for DOD. The issue is a meeting they’ve been seeking with Defense Secretary Austin for 2 yrs to discuss Space Command HQ. After the Monday vote, Hickenlooper said “Two years later, we're still waiting.”

What would be a change, Boebert says Garfield County commissioner Tom Jankovsky emailed her to say Biden’s executive action re: Thompson Divide “gutted the original bipartisan local support.” The commissioners supported the Garfield CO provisions in CORE act (the divide).

Boebert's amendment (137) re: opening up Thompson Divide to mineral withdrawal passed via voice vote. She mentioned the lack of local voices & mentioned Ute Indian tribe in Utah's opposition, but failed to mention the 2 Colorado Ute tribes supported it.

Boebert's includes increasing the total percentage of leased federal land to 15 % and cancel the mineral withdrawal of Thompson Divide, which was proposed by the Biden Administration last fall.

Under the new open amendment process -- a lot of amendments were filed, including 1 from Rep. DeGette and 4 from Rep. Boebert. DeGette's change the limitations.
