Yes! It's been swallowed up by the beach again, to some extent; a few weeks back, it was flowing there but 6ft+ below it's current level (it's meant to be culverted over to the south end of the beach, of course!)...
Yeah. I checked the culvert out. U will be delighted to know its running hard & fast closer to Porthminster point. I wonder weather local cooling between the medieval warm period & the mini ice age of the 18th C had anything 2 do with all that sand moving across from Porthmeor?
By the way, just before me an the kids got there, a young girl had dropped in it just like I did 40 or 50 years ago. Poor kid got the shock of her life! There was a bloke (pictured) Had complained to the council...lol
Oh, goodness! They do sometimes make an attempt to prevent people getting to it when it re-emerges — recently a windbreak, if I recall correctly...!
