          Mablethorpe beach, Lincolnshire — the drowned village of Mablethorpe St Peter lay offshore from this spot; it was lost to the sea in the 1530s, although its church was still visible until the 1870s.pic.twitter.com/VR8DMWwOA8

          The church at Kilnsea 150 years later had gone into the sea. There must have been a period of incredable erosion at this time. Will study this map further.
