        Fwiw, Lincoln Cathedral was also once the tallest building in the world from 1311 to 1548 (160m), when its central spire fell in a storm!         Years ago, driving to Lincoln from the south, breath caught as the cathedral appeared on the hill on the horizon. Magnificent.
