And the author is mentioning a couple of inscriptions in France and UK. I really cannot find any of these.pic.twitter.com/7W2q7dzh2a
The inscriptions are at Alboy cathedral (France), tomb of Richard II, tombs of Fishilik and Yorkshire, church of South Yker
Maybe @caitlinrgreen? Except for the tomb of Richard II (I am still looking for imgs of the inscription), I could find absolutely nothing!
Looking around, one seems to be the tomb of Richard Marshall, vicar of Fishlake (d.1505), if that helps at all? https://www.flickr.com/photos/70850833@N03/22143857678 …
South Yker would seem to be South Acre, Norfolk—the church record is here but not sure what the inscription is! http://www.heritage.norfolk.gov.uk/record-details?MNF4126-St-George%27s-Church-Southacre&Index=3761&RecordCount=57339 …
thank you! I'd have never guessed! Do you think the different spelling is a typo or maybe older forms of the names?
Good question, not sure! The curious forms have been circulating around for a while though, it would seem :)
I'll try to find it out :) thank you again for the huge help :)
No worries, and good luck with tracking down the relevant inscriptions! :)
