Used by George V to hold cufflinks, wasn't it?
I thought it was George III, and that he used it as a shaving mug (shocking)
It was found in 1837, so probably a bit late...

oh okay, must have been George V then.

Gorgeous....
And very similar to the Ringlemere cup found near Sandwich, Kent.
