Def no problem w/ some, but elephant ivory often thought more likely for rings & what analysis there is of early AS ivory supports :)

E.g. Empingham cem, 7 of 9 identified as elephant ivory cut from base of the tusk; same source for ivory on buckle from Mt Pleasant, Kent.
