Love to know more about Sub Saharan African settlement during these periods. Evidence seems to indicate individual cases @caitlinrgreen
isotopes don't distinguish, but def some in Roman, early medieval & medieval; problem is most studies don't assess this...
Yes, from Roman period I've read of 2 Sub Saharan Africans: one of Beachy Head & "African Bangle Lady" of York. Many more? @caitlinrgreen
