        Kitcat & Paradise Smoot are 2 modern names for paths leading from Kidgate (Kit Cat Lane or Paradise Hill in the 19thC) to The Gatherums.

        Turner's painting of the market being held in Upgate, Louth, Lincolnshire. Note, although it is often claimed that Turner invented the scene as Louth's market was supposedly never held on this street, the local archives show this to be wrong—the market was indeed held near the church in Upgate from 1785 to 1802!
