My favourite is 'Woonus', i.e. Onehouse in Suffolk. Say it in RP and the locals have no idea what you're talking about

Wonderful! :) Around here, I like 'Sollerby' for Saltfleetby! :) (and Loweth for Louth, which goes back to medieval period)

One I like is Southwell (just over in Notts) some locals (I had centenarian aunt there) call it 'Suthull'

Not sure where I picked up my pronunciation, tbh, but now often find ppl living here pronouncing 'S~by'+'Louth' "wrong" too!
