I did a year of arch. at Glasgow U from oct 1990. Constant fantasizing about Arthur etc was main reason I didn't continue.

know what you mean :-/ Used to try & engage with the whole [pseudo-]historical Arthur stuff, but long decided not worth effort!

seemed as if the Romans corrupted it and things weren't put right until about 1968.

It's fine to see aspects of ancient culture we find sympathetic but we should try not to re-write to suit ourselves.
