Is this Lindsey connected to the Scottish clan Lindsay?
Is it an entirely different Lindsay/Lindsey?
I assume the medieval/modern surname was originally a locational surname reflecting an origin in Lindsey, Lincolnshire.

my sister-in-law is called Lindsey. But I'm fairly sure she's just a province, like my brother :)
