I believe ppl with surnames such as France, Holland, Scotland, Wales etc is because that's where they originally came from.
Yes, that emerges very clearly in the database---lots of examples from corpus of people who def were immigrants :)
I also think the Huguenots who fled 2 the UK were known for their fine clothes. They set up shop in what is now Savile Row.
I used to live in Boston. Today it's a place to move away from, not towards.
