Quite amazing for 30. (Not sure how they know that for certain?). Surprised at the amount of ppl movement and the distances.
It's all based on an inscription, and yes, so much more movement than we often assume! :)
2/ but more centred on travel medieval/crusades etc, I hadn't considered such movement of ppls so much earlier.
Fwiw, a virtually identical terret ring to that found at Fayum was excavated at Wanborough Romano-British 'small town', Wiltshire, in 1969…
